FOCUS Gateway City

St. Michael's is honored to host the Gateway City branch of FOCUS ministries.

FOCUS is a national ministry that exists to serve the poor by bringing together Orthodox Christian churches and community partners to provide food, occupation, clothing, hospitality, shelter and other assistance to address the needs of local communities.

The FOCUS Gateway City branch works to face the needs of our neighbors here in St. Louis by distributing food, clothing, and warm meals on Sundays and Wednesdays.

Our goal is to be a community where any person in need can find rest for their souls and resources to help meet their needs.

We’d love to have you join us! We invite Orthodox Christians and other community partners to join us in this ministry with donations and with opportunities to volunteer at the Center, in McKinley Heights and in surrounding neighborhoods.

The Apostles Kitchen

Sundays from 4:30-5:30 PM on the 2nd through 21st of each month – Warm Meals Served, Food Pantry Open, Clothing Closet Open

On the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 9-11 AM – Food Pantry Open. The food pantry distributes shelf-stable foods: pasta and sauce; canned vegetables, fruits, beans, meat, fish, and soups; and cereal and other breakfast foods. Fresh and frozen food will be served as it is donated. Hygiene items: toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, razors, and feminine products are also provided.

St. Xenia's Closet

On the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 9-11 AM – Clothing. St. Xenia’s Closet distributes clothes, shoes, and towels
